The First Descendant Best Build

The First Descendant Best Build

The First Descendant is a third-person shooter and item-collecting game that has attracted great attention since its release. You need to choose a character in the game and equip weapons and modules according to this character's abilities. By considering your character's weaknesses and strengths, you can maximize each character's maximum damage potential. Although all characters are strong, there are stronger ones than other weapon and module combinations in this game, as in every game. If you've just started the game and are wondering about the strongest character builds, we've prepared two builds for you that specialize in single targets and area damage!

Gley – Unlimited Ammo Build

Gley, one of the most beautiful and strongest characters of the game, has an equipment lineup that provides unlimited bullets thanks to her skill kit and modules. As you know, there are common and rare bullet types in this game. Although rare bullet types deal high damage, they are harder to find than other bullets. However, thanks to her skill kit, Gley can use any bullet type by sacrificing hit points. Unlike other characters, Gley uses her health bar, not mana or energy, to use abilities. Moreover, Gley can strengthen her attacks with his abilities, increasing her unlimited bullets to maximum damage potential.

Weapons

There is one weapon you should definitely use for Gley's Unlimited Bullet setup. This weapon is a rocket launcher called "Vestigial Organ" that works with purple bullets. The Vestigial Organ allows you to make attacks that cause explosions that deal area damage. However, due to its low magazine capacity and rare bullet, it is not possible to use it effectively, at least for characters other than Gley. Also, unlike other rocket launchers, the Vestigial Organ rocket launcher can fire in a straight line and its bullets are faster.

The modules you add to the Vestigial Organ rocket launcher should be modules that increase attack damage or damage to weak points. Here are a few functional modules you can use with the Vestigial Organ:

  • Fire Rate UP
  • Weak Point Sight
  • Rifling Reinforcement
  • Real-Life Fighter
  • Action and Reaction
  • Element Enhancement
  • Defense Master

Reactor and External Components

In this build, the reactor you need to use to reveal the character's maximum damage and survival potential is the reactor called "Materialized Singularity Reactor", which increases your ability damage.

As External Components, you need to use the following;

  • HP Support Auxiliary Power: To Increase Your Hit Points
  • Annihilation Sensor: Provides a “Skill Duration” bonus when equipped as 2 Set Pieces
  • Annihilation Processor: 2 Set Piece Bonus

You can choose the fourth option according to your playing style. I use "Venom Essence Memory", which gives defense, to increase survivability.

Modules

There are two stats we focus on in this character build; “Skill duration” and “Skill Cooldown.” For this reason, we need to pay attention to these two features when choosing character modules. Our main goal is to make the usage time of our ability, which allows us to use unlimited bullets, longer than the cooldown. The modules you need to use for this sequence are:

  • MP Conversion: Reduces cooldown by -36.5%, Gley has no disadvantage since she does not use MP.
  • Nimble Fingers: -25.5% cooldown reduction
  • Focus on Non-Attribute: -6.1% cooldown reduction
  • Focus on Singular: -6.1% cooldown reduction
  • Maximize Duration: Increases ability casting time by 26.5%.
  • Skill Extension: Increases skill casting time by 36.5%.
  • HP Amplification: Increases your hit points.
  • HP Collector: When you kill an enemy, you steal a life.

Bunny – Electric Storm

Bunny, one of the most entertaining characters of the game, is satisfactory in terms of both area damage and the damage she deals to single targets. While playing with Bunny, you have to constantly move, if you are standing still, you are doing a bad job. Bunny is a character you can use to kill many enemies at once and inflict high damage on single targets. In this build, we will prioritize using the Bunny character's running ability unlimitedly and dealing constant electrical damage.

Reactor and External Components

The ideal reactor you can use for the Bunny is the "Tingling Singularity Reactor", which strengthens your abilities. Also, this reactor is extremely easy to obtain. To maximize the Bunny's survivability and damage to its maximum potential, you need to use these External Components items:

  • HP Support Auxiliary Power: Increases maximum hit points.
  • Supernova Memory: 2 set piece effects increase electrical damage.
  • Supernova Processor: 2 set piece effects increase electrical damage.
  • HP Support Sensor: Increases maximum hit points.

If you are confident in your survival and want to increase your maximum damage, we recommend equipping 4 items from the Supernova series instead. Although your maximum hit points will decrease, your electrical damage will increase. However, if you are going to wear a 4-piece supernova set, we recommend that you use maximum HP or defense stats as secondary stats.

AoE Module Build

With the Bunny, you can set up two module builds for area damage or a single target. First, we will explain the module sequence that increases your area damage and allows you to kill multiple targets easily. In this build, we aim to increase the range and damage of the character's "Lighting Emission" ability. The modules required for this module sequence are as follows;

  • Skill Expansion: Increases the range of your specific skill.
  • Maximize Range: Increases the range of your ability.
  • MP Collector: You recover MP when you kill an enemy.
  • Electric Specialist: Increases your electrical damage.
  • Technician: Increases your ability damage.
  • Nimble Fingers: Reduces ability cooldown.

With this module arrangement, you can kill a large number of enemies by just running around and you can continue to run further by regenerating electricity as you kill enemies.

Single Target Build

This module sequence aims to maximize the character's survivability and single-target damage. You can use this build for boss battles. The modules required for this module sequence are as follows;

  • HP Amplification: Increases your character's maximum hit points.
  • Spear and Shield: Increases your character's defense and ability damage.
  • Technician: Increases ability damage.
  • HP Collector: When you kill an enemy, your hit points are restored.
  • Increased DEF: Increases your character's defense.
  • Electric Specialist: Increases your electrical damage.
  • Nimble Fingers: Reduces ability cooldown.
  • Strong Mentality: Reduces skill costs.

If you have the "Ultimate Bunny", you can use the module called "High-Voltage". This module transforms your running ability to deal electrical damage from an area damage ability to a triple target damage ability. Thus, while you can only damage three targets, your damage increases significantly. Additionally, when you have enough module slots, you can use the “Front Lines” module for both settings.

Weapons

One of the best weapons you can use for both Bunny builds is the submachine called “Thunder Cage.” To maximize this weapon's maximum damage potential, you'll need to use modules that increase critical damage and weak point damage. The weapon modules you can use for Thunder Cage are:

  • Rifling Reinforcement
  • Fire Rate UP
  • Action and Reaction
  • Consume Magazines
  • Weak Point Insight
  • Better Insight

The secondary weapon you can use for Bunny is the machine gun called Tamer. The modules you need to use for this weapon are:

  • Action and Reaction
  • Weak Point Insight
  • Fire Rate UP
  • Rifling Reinforcement
  • Chill Enhancement
  • Weak Point Sight
