What's New in Career Mode? (Manager Career + Player Career)

FIFA's Career Mode has always been a unique part of the FIFA series. Now, it is even more unique with new gameplay mechanics and quality enhancements.

Playable Highlights

One of the brand new features called Playable Highlights lets us control key moments of matches to determine their outcome. You can handle close calls that affect the scoresheet and leave the rest of the match to the match engine.

FIFA 23

As a manager, you have the option to choose whether you want to play all the highlights of a match or only the attacking ones, allowing the simulation to decide the defensive outcomes. If you're more inclined to focus on the attacking side of the sport, this will allow you to shift your gameplay focus.

Dynamic Moments

Dynamic Moments is another great feature. They are basically a collection of cinematics that will help us advance through the Career Mode experience. The goal of this feature is to make our career journey more memorable and immersive. So we'll be seeing a lot of cinematics of our character.

Transfer Analyst (Manager Career)

That's an entirely new feature to the career mode. The Transfer Analyst will help us improve our negotiation skills. It will show us how close we get to the minimum acceptable fee within the club's budget. We will get a higher rating as we get closer to the minimum acceptable fee. Once the player joins our club, you'll know immediately whether you did a great job with transferring.

Manager Career

If you are playing the game in the manager career, you can create a manager or choose one of the managers in the football world. The transfer of people who are managers in real life to game characters is successful. If you like the manager of a team, you will be excited to see that manager in the game. You can also change the outfit of the manager you have chosen or created as you wish. After creating/choosing your manager you need to select a team you want to manage. If you want, you can choose one of the existing teams or you can create your team. While playing as a manager, your goal is to transfer good players to your team and to move your team up in the league by winning football matches. The last thing you need to do before starting the game is to edit the Career Settings.

While setting up your squad, you can see the stats, financial values ​​, and progress of the players. You can also access basic information about a player by hovering your cursor over a player in the User interface. From the Calendar tab, you can train your team and play in the matches of the season. As a manager, it's your job to recruit new players to your team. To transfer a player, you must negotiate with the club president. A new feature in FIFA 2023 is that you can see the tension of the negotiation process.

Player Career

If you have decided to play the game as a player, you have two options. The first of these options is to create your character and the second is to use one of the existing players. You must make some decisions in your career with a player. As a result of the decisions you make, your character's personality is shaped, and you earn bonuses. Also, as you train, your character will gain skill points. Using these skill points, you can edit your character's gameplay.
